Crafting Desert Diva's Challenge- Watercolor

Hi crafty friends. Today I wanted to share with you a project I made using the Cute Little Fish Tank digital stamp from Crafting Desert Diva's for their August Challenge. The challenge was to use watercolor in a project, so what better to water color than a water scene.

For this project I sized it to print 4 on a letter size page and printed it with my laser printer. I then used my Ganzi Tambi watercolors to fill in the scene. The bubbles are made with clear droplets from Kat Scrappiness and I then used Clear Wink of Stella on the fish, crab and starfish once the watercolor was dry.
To complete the card I made a table top out of kraft card stock for the tank to sit on. I used a lawn fawn border die to make the curtain, and a Joy Clair clear stamp for the sentiment.

I hope you have enjoyed my project. I am going to look around to see what other challenges I can have fun with tomorrow.

Mod Squad Challenge- Teacher's Pet

Hi crafty friends. Today I decided to make an entry for this weeks Mod Squad Challenge and went right to work. I will post a photo of my entry and supplies used.

Kat Scrappiness Products:

Sparkle-N-Sprinkle Products:

The background paper with bubbles came from an American Crafts paper pad called My Baby. The foreground paper is from a Recollections pad. I cut the School paper with my scan n cut using a pre-isntalled cut file. The Fish were colored using Zig clean color real brush markers. The coral images are cut from a Paper Studio adhesive pad using a Gina Marie die.

I hope you have enjoyed my entry. And hope to play more often.

Doodle Pantry and Challenge Yourself #84

Greetings crafty friends. I am here today with Challenge Yourself #84 - Anything Goes; I have a fun project using a digital image from the Doodle Pantry.

For my project I used the Dirt Rides file. Using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers I had fun coloring this file. I then used the Brother Scan n Cut to cut the image out as well as the sentiment. I used Glossy Accents on the lights. seat and reflectors. I used a few sequins from my friend Kat's shop. The image is affixed with dimensional squares, as is one side of the sentiment. I hope you enjoyed this project as much as I enjoyed making it.

BEE Kind To Bee's

Summer is almost over, school is about to start. Seems like this summer went faster than those in the past, but hey... so does everything these days.
Today I am happy to share with you the BEE KIND stamp set from Joy Clair Stamps. This card idea came to me as soon as I saw the pre-production photo and could not wait to get this set in my hand to put it to work.
Take a look at the set and my project and below I will share how it was done.

Most of my followers know I am a big fan of my Stampoholic Nano. Well what I did with this first was stamped the hive right in the middle of the page and used my Brother Scan n Cut to cut that fun little thing out, I also stamped the bee's and it cut them too... see their awesome little antennae... yeah this machine is great. This was the very first cut made with the machine ten minutes out of the box. SO, after making the cut, I used Fossilized Amber, and Mustard Seed distress inks and ran them all over the card topper. I then after dry stamped the honeycomb and flight path. I then affixed the honeycomb where it needed to be on the card base, ran the topper through my Big Shot to create the stitched look around the edges, and affixed acetate to the back of the card topper, added foam tape around the acetate to add dimension and hold the sequins in. The sequins are a mix called "Bumble Bee", made and sold by my friend Kat her link is in my sidebar. Once my card topper and base were put together I was so happy. It has been a couple of weeks and I could not wait to share this with you today.

Joy Clair August Challenge Butterfly Kisses

Greetings fellow crafters. Today I am here with Joy Clair participating in the August Challenge and am hoping you will participate as well.
With my project I used a new Joy Clair stamp set to have some creative fun. First I used my envelope punch board to make a small envelope for the front of the card. I then stamped the butterfly scatter as if they were flying out of the envelope and colored with my Spectrum Noir markers. I used Versamark ink and stamped the Sending Love sentiment, sprinkled Gold embossing powder and heat set it. A little gold sparkle washi tape finished off the topper and I then mounted my topper on black card stock which I mounted on a gold sparkle card base.

I hope you enjoyed my card as much as I enjoyed making it and sharing. Please upload your Challenge card to the Joy Clair blog by August 31 for your chance to win a $25 gift card to Joy Clair stamps. Don't forget on August 2 we will start our August release blog hop and let me say... this months stamps are AWESOME!!!
