Joy Clair "Armor of God"

Hi everyone, another great day here in the Abyss. Working with this stamp set was really fun, coming up with ideas and putting them to work. The stamp set is from Joy Clair, and it is called Armor of God, and was part of our March release.

For my card I used the Soldier Stamp, Gina K Black Onyx ink and my Stampoholic Nano to make sure I was able to restamp if necessary. I then used Ink It Up Red to stamp the "Faith" in the middle of the shield. I polished the sword with Silver Glitter "Wink of Stella" and mounted my white Neenah cardstock panel, on Gina K Black Onyx panel, on a Hobby Lobby Paper Studio colored pre-folded card base in Red.

Hope you enjoyed my project and take a look over at the Joy Clair Blog, shop and Pinterest for other great stamps and ideas.

We will be back next week with more new stamps.

Joy Clair "Sunshine Flower"

Hi Everyone, back with another great set from Joy Clair... this one is called Sunshine Flowers and it took me a couple tries to actually figure out what I wanted to do with it. But once I figured it out, it came together pretty easy. Hope you enjoy!!!
First I used Kromecote paper and the svg file from the shop to cut the sunflowers and centers. I then used Gina K Designs Black Onyx ink to stamp the images with my Stampoholic Nano.
The background is Broken China Distress inks on Neenah white cardstock as the base. I had some colored craft sticks to use as the stems, and painted the flowers with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. A little foam tape and my ATG allowed me to adhere it all together.

Be on the watch early April for the next stamp set release, I love the new sets and think you will too.

Joy Clair "Lion and the Lamb"

Fun times over here in the Abyss. Started a new job and seems like I forgot my brain sometimes. Sorry my post is late coming live, I wrote it and forgot to transfer it.
SO... today I am showing my card using the Joy Clair Stamps "Lion and Lamb" stamp set. I worked on a few ideas before finally coming up with the ONE I wanted to use.
Watching some Jennifer McGuire video's I was enticed to try the clear card stock window rather than a shaker card this time. The background is made with distress inks to reflect the grass and sky. I used the Lion and Lamb digital die to cut the little lamb out, and then used my Stampoholic Nano to position it for stamping. I then also stamped the little lamb on the inside of the card as well, and the sentiment "The Patience of a Lamb"

I hope you have enjoyed my card and will go take a look the Joy Clair blog and what our other design team members have created.

Joy Clair "Letter To God"

Hey everyone, Lee Ann here one of the members of the Joy Clair/Color by Faith design team and excited to share a special project today. This stamp set is called "Letters To God". I sat for a while thinking about what I was going to do with this set, and first I used different colored inks and stamped all over the inside of my Bible cover. A few days later, it hit me... without further adieu, this is the stamp set...

And this is my project...

I am really hooked on these Kaleidacolor ink pads these days. For this card I used kromecote paper cut to 4 x 5.25. Used the Bouquet color ink pad and my brayer and had fun making the background first. It is really easy to do, ink up the brayer then roll it out on your paper, shiny side works best. Once dry I decided which stamps I wanted to use, and layed them out on my Stampoholic Nano positioner. I was then able to use my Gina K designs Black Onyx to ink up the stamps and stamp them down. With both inks used being dye inks drying did not take but a few seconds. I then affixed the colorful card topper to the yellow card base with my atg and all was complete.

I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into my fun crafty day, and come back again soon. My next post will be on Thursday the 17th of March.

Later y'all... get out there and get creative!!!

Joy Clair March Blog Hop

Joy Clair March Blog Hop...

Hi everyone and welcome to the Hop... today I am going to highlight two wonderful stamp sets that are being released, and I had a lot of fun working on these projects.

The first is Spring Flowers...

This is such a fun set and layering the flowers is so fun. I made this cute little fun box, fill it with candy and keep it on your desk all month long.

The second set is Hoppy Birthday...

And these little frogs, who can't get excited about these little guys. Coloring with my colored pencils, adding the inside of a couple google eyes and topping it off with Glossy Accents on the eyes with Wink of Stella on the balloon. Who wouldn't want this cute little guy for their birthday.

Hop along to check out the rest of the design teams creations and the projects they have made.
