Christmas is Gnoming... A Same Set Syndrome Hop Card Featuring KatScrappiness

Hey there friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here with the September post of Same Set Syndrome. This month we are using the Christmas Gnomes Stamp Set from Kat Scrappiness. If you aren't familiar with Same Set Syndrome, we are a group of crafters that got together earlier this year in Handmade Happiness Facebook Group and decided to start a monthly hop. Some post on Instagram, some YouTube and some Blogs... just follow the #SameSetSyndromeSeptember and comment on all the posts. More information about that down below.

SO... here is my card...

To make this card I took an 8.5" x 7.5" panel of Recollections 110 lb cardstock in red and folded in half to make an  8.5" x 3.75" card base.

I used Cross Stitched Slimline Nesting Dies to cut a panel from pattern paper from the My Minds Eye "Holly Jolly" 6"x6" paper pad.

I cut the panel twice from the cardstock so it would stretch the length of my card.

I took the thinnest of the Neverending Slimline Nesting Dies to cut a slit in the panel, along with the pull tab in the same red used for the card base. I used the Hillside Slimline Die to cut my snowbank.
I added some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide to the hillside to add some color.

I stamped and cut the cute little Santa Gnome with the Candy Cane  and sentiment from the Christmas Gnomes stamp set.

I also stamped and cut the Palm Tree and surfboard from the Summer Gnome stamp set.

The i move and arrow are from the Interactive Card Instructions stamp set.

To put this card together, I used a slider element from MFT, added it to the pull tab with double stick tape and using foam tape popped the surfboard to that.

You can see how the card works in the short video below :)

National Coffee Day- Because Adulting Is Hard with Joy Clair Designs

Hi there friends and fellow crafters, welcome to the 2020 National Coffee Day Event with Super Sponsor Joy Clair Designs. Today's card was made using Joy Clair Designs Coffee Quotes Stamp set.

For the base of my card topper I used a background die from Lawn Fawn cut out of a creamy colored cardstock. I used a Cocoa Brown card base in the 4.25" x 5.5" top folding card base. I decided to make this into a shaker card, because they are among my favorite type of card to make. I stamped my images and sentiment using VersaFine CLAIR in PineCone, which I felt was a great brown color to match my card. I colored the images with Ohuhu Alcohol markers in fall (Candy Corn) colors.

Now how about a sale...
We have all our coffee themed stamps 25%OFF

Hello Boo-tiful! A Joy Clair Post

Greetings friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here with my inspiration post for Joy Clair Designs. Today I am starting my posts for Halloween, and I hope they bring some inspiration to you, so you will want to pick up some of these stamp sets and have some fun as well.

For today's card I used October Fun to stamp out the little Ghost, he is just so cute. I also used Happy Halloween for the remaining Tree, Spiderweb and Pumpkin, unfortunately, between the time I made this card and this post, this set has sold out. The background paper is from Doodle Bugs Pumpkin Party 6x6 paper pad.

Happy Camper with Joy Clair Designs

Hi there friends and fellow crafters, Labor Day in the US is over, temperatures are going to start getting better, and that means CAMPING. SO, to highlight this great time I brought out the Joy Clair Designs Happy Camper stamp set and got to work.

For the cover of my card I first used a panel of black cardstock and a Hero Arts die to cut out the scene. The panel behind that die cut was made using the "Shaving Cream Technique", basically Foaming Shaving Cream on a paper plate, drop in ink colors you want for your project, for this I used Memento Dandelion, Memento Cantaloupe, Delicata Ruby Red, Delicata Pink Shimmer and Delicata Gold. Just a few drops of each and then swirl them around with a bamboo skewer. Plop the card panel in the gooey mixture and then wipe off with a squeegie. What remains is a marbled masterpiece that dries quickly.

Sticking with the colors of a camper we used to own, I used my Ohuhu Alcohol Markers to color it up. I used to love going camping and the sunset was always the prettiest time (not a morning person so never watched it rise). Are you more of a morning person or a night owl?

For the inside of my card I kept it simple with the Happy Camper sentiment and the bonfire image from the stamp set. My cardbase is Black #110 cardstock from Recollections. My white panels are Hammermill #80 Premium Color/Copy/Cover with the Chameleon on the packaging.

The other thing I loved was sitting around the fire with our friends at night before or after going out for an ATV or Swamp Buggy die for a few hours. Some would bring out something to snack on, a few would bring out the drinks and we would just sit and chat for hours. We were members of a Conservation Club where we would go most weekends to relax. I miss those days

Spooky Night, Candy and Fright

Greetings friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here with my first September post for The Makers Movement using The Creepy Treats Stamp Set

I had so much fun with this project,

  • First I stamped out the candy background image twice, in order to have my full panel covered.
  • From there I colored my panel using alcohol markers.
  • I cut the panel down to 3.75" x 5" and layered it on a black panel measuring 4" x 5.25".
  • These panels are then adhered to a standard A2 size card base 4.25" x 5.5" side folding.
  • I stamped out the sentiment using VersaFine Clair in Nocturne and cut this panel down to 2.25" x 2/5", and layered on a black panel that is cut 2.5" x 2.75".
  • These are adhered using double side foam tape. I adhered 3 sprinkles from the Sweet Tooth Shaker Pack.

With that this card was complete. I hope you have enjoyed this creation as much as I had fun making it.
