Back to Basics Hop

Greetings friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here with a fun hop with some friends from Handmade Happiness Facebook Group. Most have video's however I went for a Blog post this time.

For this project I went back to the beginning of cardmaking for me, cardstock, ephemera and stickers. I used materials from the September Echo Park kit of the month.

So back when I first started card making I did not have stamps, I had cardstock, stickers and vinyl. I made cards this way for about 4 or 5 months. So for my card I really went back to basics.

My cardbase is 4.25" x 5.5" and I went top folding landscape style. I cut a black layering panel slightly smaller at 4" x 5.25", and then cut 2 pieces of cardstock I wanted as my top panel at 2"x 5". this allowed me to have a slight overlap.

The Sentiment panel was in the Ephemara packet, which I adhered with foam tape. I affixed my little puffy sticker squirrel with his acorn above the word Favorite, and then 3 puffy sticker acorns in the upper left corner and my project was complete.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

So Much To Be Thankful For with The Makers Movement

Hi there friends and fellow crafters. I had fun with this stamp set from The Makers Movement and wanted to share my card with you.

I had a lot of fun making this card, and I will now tell you how.
  • Using the Give Thanks stamp set I stamped out the floral spray, once on the inside of my card and once on the outside, and again on a white piece of cardstock.
  • I used an oval due to cut the front of my card base.
  • I used my Scan n Cut to cut out the floral spray from the white cardstock.
  • I then used alcohol makers to color the leaves and flowers, being that this is quite intricate with the stems.
  • I did cut the end pieces from my piece and using liquid glue attached the remaining piece to my card front.
  • Now,  when the card is laying flat you see the sentiment and the floral spray.
  •  However once the card is open, you see both again on the inside.
  • I love this effect and don't use it enough.

A Little Witch In All of US!!!

Hi there friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here with my project for Joy Clair Designs and Rinea Foiled Paper Collaboration.

To make this card I first used a Witches Shoes Embossing Folder by Darice. I ran a piece of Emerald Green Foil Paper from Rinea though my Vagabond 2 in the embossing folder and achieved this great texture design.

I stamped the sentiment and hat from the Joy Clair Set Spooky Greetings using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne. A touch of Green for the brim of the hat and my project was complete.

The stamp set I used and many more can be found at The Joy Clair Store

Fall Is Here with The Makers Movement

Hi there friends an fellow crafters. LeeAnn here with two cards I made using Stamp and Die sets from The Makers Movement. I had so much fun making these and just had to share.

So to start off I used a combination of Crackling Campfire, Fossilized Amber and Candied Apple Distress Oxides and made 2 blended 4.25" x 5.5" panels of cardstock. Once dry I used the Fall Leaves die set and cut 3 leaves out of one panel, which I then used a Versamark pen to go over the "veins" and added Rose Gold Mboss powder, warmed them up and set them aside. The "welcome autumn" sentiment came from the "Give Thanks" stamp set. I adhered the leaves to a white panel, added that to the remainder of my ink blended panel, which I then added to a 4.25" x 5.5" top folding card base.

For my second card I used the largest leaf die and cut it out of the center of my card panel. I stamped "Give Thanks" in VersaFine Clair "PineCone". I made this a shaker card because well... I love shaker cards. I took a strip of the blending panel that I had cut off to make it the sides needed and adhered it to the front of my card under the sentiment. I added this panel to my blended panel, added that to a 4.25" x 5.5" top folding card base, added 3 dots of pico embellishment drops in Gold and this card as also complete.
