Hello, Sweet Friend

Greetings friends and fellow crafters. Sorry my post is late today, crazy things going on around here right now, but I hope this cute card makes up for the lateness.

The latest challenge for Die Cuttin Divas is Anything Goes. So go on over to the main page and see all the inspiration from the team, and play along.

This project was made using paper, dies and stamps from My Favorite Things, at a class I took at the store.

Have a crafty day.

Home is Where You Park It, an SFL post

Greetings friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here and let me say this month of projects with Scrapping For Less is really making me miss our camper. Thinking we are going to have to replace it in the next couple years. Camping has always been so fun for us, and the highlight of our weeks when we could escape for a couple days and just sit around and do nothing.

picsart_07-05-08.34.02

SO... using Art Impressions "Happy Camper" Tryfold Stamp and Die set, I put this card together. While thinking about the good old days.

picsart_07-05-03.38.17

First I stamped out my images using MFT Extreme Black Ink. I then Used my Scan n Cut to cut the images out. I then used alcohol markers to color everything up.

picsart_07-05-03.37.02

Once everything was colored, I took a sheet of cardstock 4.25" x 11" and scored on the 3 5/8" from each side to make my card base. Then it was off to my Vagabond machine with the two dies that came in the kit. The first die cut the back window of the camper, and left a hinge section at the top. I cut this same through the base as well, I removed the hinged section from the card base.

picsart_07-05-03.35.10

Now the camper we had, was completely camo colors on the inside. So I had to color this one the same way. The second die in the set cuts out the tent shape area in this next panel.

Once the card is completely open, you see the sentiment, and the cute little sleeping pup up on the bed. Exactly where my little guy Harley loved to be.

I hope you have enjoyed this project as much as I loved sharing it with you.

For my project this week I used Distress Oxide Inks to make my background, and the top layer of my card was made using the Garden Fancy Die. The sentiment is from the Everyday Sayings clear stamp set and heat embossed with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I layered my panels on a black A2 sized card base and my project was complete.

Stewart NEEDS Coffee!!!

Hi there friends and fellow crafters. I am so excited to share this cute stamp set with you today... Stewart The Sloth is so adorable, and he won my heart the minute I took him out of the box he came in.

stewart

Now for my project... Kat challenged me to make a card, and so I took her up on that challenge. This little guy loves his coffee so much, and it was about 1am in the morning while I was working my first week of night shift in many years, and said sure, I need coffee, Stewart needs coffee, and let me tell you, as much as I love night shift I was certainly feeling a bit Slothy.

picsart_07-18-12.18.02

The background paper is from a BoBunny Jungle Themed paper pad, I used Kat's Stitched Rectangle Dies as to cut my layers, and Michael's 110 lb card stock as my image panel along with my other white panel and black card base. I stamped Stewart and his adorable cup first, then using Inkadinkado Masking Paper I stamped the palm leaves for his little bed. I used Ink On 3 Black Out Ink for all my stamping, and colored with my alcohol markers. I finished off the project by gluing my layers using ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever, and adding a few of the Clear Solid Round Confetti Mix.

I hope you have enjoyed this project. I really did have a fun time coming up with this idea, and I am very thankful to Kat for sending Stewart for me to play with this month.

Summer Camp, July SFL Flavor of the Month Release

Image may contain: text and outdoor

July! What is another summer activity you enjoy? Lots of folks love summer camping and kids love going to camp. Teresa spent 3 summers of her career life as a summer camp director at a girl's week long resident camp...it was hard work but yet super satisfying. She loved seeing the girls (most of them were city girls) being exposed to nature, hiking, and the outdoors.

We have a great kit for you this month. All about camping and the outdoors! So grab your computer, a beverage, maybe go out on your back porch (so you are outdoors) and hop along and view the most wonderful inspiration from our Design Team and guest designers!

Greetings friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here with a fun gift box I have made using all Lawn Fawn Products except the paper. This project was made for the Die Cuttin' Diva's Weekly Challenge where I am a Design Team Member.

picsart_07-23-12.25.36

picsart_07-23-12.44.24

I then stamped out the images from Ahoy Matey using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and then colored with my Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend Markers, I also used my original Spectrum Noir markers for colors that were not in the Tri-Blend

Wish Upon A Star with Lawn Fawn and SFL

Greetings friends and fellow crafters, It's LeeAnn with another post with Scrapping For Less. This time I have used the Lawn Fawn stamp set "Upon A Star" along with the Interactive Reveal Wheel Square Add On die set, Gold Embossing Powder, Versamark Ink and the PhotoPlay 6"x6" paper pad Campfire & Lakeside.

preview-3

I really had so much fun with this project. I have had the reveal wheel since it first came out, and have not used it, just waiting for the right time, and this was exactly the project I was waiting for.

picsart_07-05-08.14.09

First using white cardstock I cut the card base, the wheel  heart frame and the little arrow. I cut the night sky panel using the square reveal wheel die, and heat embossed using Gold embossing powder the Wish and the Heart of Stars.

picsart_07-05-08.12.58

I stamped and cut the two little critters and colored them with alcohol markers, and using some scraps from the paper pad decided to make the grassy panel and then a blanket for the critters to sit upon.picsart_07-05-08.11.50

After figuring out how I wanted the sentiment in the window I stamped the open stars, then Upon, closed stars then A Star and heat embossed them. It does appear I need to use a little more of that embossing buddy to get a cleaner embossing.picsart_07-05-08.10.35

I hope you have enjoyed this project as much as I have enjoyed bringing it to you.

Have a great day and see ya back next week with my FOTM Sneak Peek project, and I had a lot of fun with it as well. Let me tell you, each month the kits are getting better and better and I am really excited about this one.

Be sure to stop on over to the Scrapping For Less website and check out not only the items I have highlighted in this post, but also the rest of the fun crafty items in store for you.

Let's Get Embossing with Die Cuttin Diva's

Greetings friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here with my weekly project for Die Cuttin' Diva's. This week's Challenge is Embossing whether Dry or Heat, we don't mind either one or both.

picsart_07-07-04.21.13

For my project I used a camper die from Little Yellow Bicycle. I attached my cardstock to double sided tape and cut it out, I used various glitters in Black, Silver, Diamond Dust, Red and Gold to make that camper shine. I used a Lawn Fawn die to cut the grass and a Camping themed Embossing folder that I then cut the word camping off and used that as my sentiment. The paper is from a 6"x6" paper pack from Photoplay called Campfire and Lakeside.

Hope you enjoyed my card, and I can't wait to see what you come up with. Come play along at Die Cuttin' Diva's.

picsart_07-04-11.38.15

I used paper from the Pebble's Happy Birthday 6"x6" pack and some Gold mirror paper from my stash for this project. I stamped the image and sentiment using Hero Arts Intense Black ink. I stamped the confetti using the Gold within the Ombre Vintage Metallic ink pad and colored using alcohol inks.

Weekend Under The Stars with SFL and PhotoPlay

Greetings friends and fellow crafters. It's LeeAnn and I am so excited for this month with Scrapping For Less.

For this first card it gives every reason I love going camping. I really miss the days we would join the family out at the camp in the Florida Everglades and have fun all weekend without a care about what was back at home. Campfires that we kept running all day and night, swamp buggy and four wheeler rides out to the middle of the field to check out the stars. preview

My husband said this is his favorite card of the three. Canoeing is so much fun and I personally can't wait until the water is high enough to be able to go to down the river on a 4 hour float.
picsart_07-04-12.17.45

This card was fun, easy and yet took a bit of time. I used background paper from the same PhotoPlay paper pack, however I also used the Echo Park Night Sky Stencil, and NUVO Embellishment Mousse in Gunmetal. Using a palette knife I spread the Mousse over the stencil, I then removed the stencil and let the panel dry while going to wash up the stencil and palette knife. My night sky panel is mounted on silver mirror paper on a white card base. The sentiment panel is also mounted on silver mirror paper and white panel beneath that.

Happy Birthday USA

Greetings Friends and Fellow Crafters. It's LeeAnn and I am here with a project I had in mind and made for the 4th of July. Which of course was 4 days ago.

picsart_06-24-12.49.15For this project I used Rinea foil paper, the Tim Holtz 4th of July Die set and my favorite glue from ScraPerfect. This glue is so awesome that all these little layers were able to go together with just a dab here and there, and the find tip for the bottle worked awesome for the tiny pieces.

First I ran the foil paper through my Vagabond with the colors Red, Silver and Blue stacked on top of each other. Since the paper is thin I knew it would not be an issue to cut at one time.

Using the ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever I was able to adhere the tiny pieces with no issue, and have a few seconds to be sure they were in the proper place.

I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday. See you soon for another post.
