Your My SuperHero with The Maker's Movement

Greetings friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here today with a fun birthday card for your favorite SuperHero. Right now this card is being put aside for my grandson, his birthday isn't until August, but it is nice to know I have one made already. Little man will be six already and I just can't believe it. If  you have been following me all this time, where has the time gone?

Today I used the You're My Hero stamp set from The Maker's Movement and wow this set is full. While I only used 6 of the stamps on this card, there are a lot more sentiments and a few other images that I will be using for another card next week.

To make this card I stamped out the Hero using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored him up with my alcohol markers. I used my Scan N Cut to cut out the image. I used pattern paper out of a DCWV Boy Stack for my background layers.I layered the pattern papers on black recollections cardstock and added all to an A2 cardbase.

The Burst and Sentiments are stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne, I love this black for my sentiment stamping.

NOW, if you have read this far, you would have read that I am gong to have another card next week, why is that since I usually make one card a month for Maker's Movement. WELL, the power's that be have been very gracious and sent and extra of the Your My Hero's stamp set so that I can have a giveaway this month.

SO... Leave me a message here in the comments telling me who you would be making a You're My Hero card for. I am excited to hear about it. This contest is running from today, 6/11/2020 at 12:01 am EST, and will run until 6/17/2020 at 11:59 pm EST. I will have my next post on the 18th with the winner's name. Sorry to say due to shipping costs, this is restricted to the USA shipping addresses.

Thanks for reading, again I can't wait to see your responses.

  1. LeeAnn your card is adorable! I would say I would make my husband a Father's Day card, but it will not get to me in time if I win it. So if I were to win this set I would make my daughter a birthday card because she truly is a Hero! She is a single mother and does everything she can to give her daughter a wonderful life. She is a school teacher to autistic children and gives them all the love that she can. Thanks for such a great giveaway.

  2. I've never even heard of the Maker's Movement but now I'm sad I hadn't seen this set before. ADORABLE. Your grandson will love this card. As far as who I'd be making a hero card for? My boys love to stamp in my craft room. I'm sure they would love to make Daddy a card with this set. <3

  3. Well, it would have to be for my hubby, as my dad is no longer here. Would also come in handy when grandkids enter the picture! :)

  4. Such a cute card LeeAnn! I’d make one for my dad - he just lost his dad to the corona virus and he’s been the one holding his siblings together. I’d also make cards for my family members who are essential workers.
