Be Yourself... a new collection from Syncopation Designs

 hi there friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here with my projects using the newest collection from Syncopation Designs. This collection is called "Be Yourself", and has all kinds of cute images and icons to where you can remind yourself to do just that. 

This first card is just perfect, as when I am not in a people mood, my pups and kitty are always there to cheer me up. I used stencils from MFT to ink blend the bottom of my panel with grass and sky, colored the critters with Copics and used pattern papers from the kit to put my card together. I do use an HP Deskjet that has rear loading and am able to print on Accent Opaque 80-100 and 120lb cardstock (white cardstock of choice) with no issue. 

If we are talking about me being myself, then  of course the crafty side has to shine. I hid it for so many years growing up not thinking at all I was any good. But though scrapbooking which led me to cardmaking I have found my crafty side again. This card pretty much says it all... Laptop, and craft supplies helped pull this card together.

Thank You... A Tape Runner project

 HI there friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here with a couple projects I made that I did not plan on making, however so happy to have the ideal resources to be able to do so. 

Backstory: So for a few days I had been having internet issues at the house, resulted in multiple calls to the company and having to exchange the modem. Well, that didn't help at all. A tech came yesterday and was trying to see what he could do to fix, and said they will have to send maintenance tech out and repair, as whatever the issue is, is effecting the entire block. I wasn't too thrilled as I had already missed some work because of the issue (full time job at home), and that this was hurting my stats. He said it could take up to a week to get it fixed. 
Well, he asked me as he is seeing the markers, stamps, dies, machines and photo lights in my room what I do, and I told him what my full time position is, and that I create greeting cards as my part time position... 

Next thing I knew, we were discussing his upcoming wedding and needing Thank you Cards. He told me the colors of the wedding are Navy and Rose Gold. I pulled out a few cards recently made and showed him what I could do. I told him to give me a little bit and I'd work on a few samples for him in his colors to give him the real feel. I used Gina K Designs In The Navy cardstock and Recollections Rose Gold Foil Cardstock Paper, along with the Stitched Hearts Cover Plate Die from Kat Scrappiness, Heart Sunburst A2 Coverplate and Thank you with Shadow die. I used Vellum for the shadow. Balune Tape Runner Permanent Adhesive was perfect for this job. By the time I was finished, I sent him 5 options, and the Heart Sunburst with Navy Frame and Rose Gold Backing with Navy words won... I am now under contract for 75 of these fun cards. 

This is so exciting as I get to share my passion with so many and on top of that, my internet is back to where it should be. So what I was told could take a week took 24 hours. Back to work tomorrow since today was my day off anyway!!!

Love You More... A Maker's Movement Project

 Hi there friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here with my February project for The Makers Movement. 

For this project I used the Forever & Always paper pad, A2 Stackables Die Set, Roses Die Set,  Love You More Stamp set and Love You More Die set. I love being able to combine many items into one project. 

To make this, I first found the pattern paper I wanted to use for my background, and ran it through my Big Shot with the A2 Stackables Die Set and cut out my panel, love the stitching that was  left behind. 

I then used a shimmer cardstock to cut out 2 sets of the roses, added some cardstock to the back of them and then  inlayed each piece of the roses to fill in the frame. This way I had 2 red with why inlay  and 1 white with red inlay. 

The next step was to stamp the word love using VersaFine CLAIR in Nocturne. This was then cut with the love die. I stamped the words You More using VersaMark, which is a clear sticky ink, and poured on White Embossing Powder. I followed that up using my heat tool to melt the embossing powder. 

The elements were now ready and my card was put together using Tape Runner Knock. I love this little  thing, not only because of the color (green), but also I used foam tape to pop some elements up.

Mind & Body by Syncopation Design

Hi there friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here with my first post for The Syncopation Design Team. I'm so exciting to work with these wonderful ladies and Jennifer's digital creations. This release is called Mind & Body, and it is everything needed to help get a handle on a happy life. 

First up is of course my favorite because it is of course a shaker card. And the sentiment just seems to be the perfect one for this... Perfectionism stifles progress.... I do find within my own life trying to be perfect at things takes away the fun, and makes me lose track of what I am doing. And if trying to be perfect is going to cause an anxiety attack, then it will make me shut down and not even try. SO... take me as I am, I'm not perfect, and love me for my flaws. 

Next up is this 4.25 x 5.5 card reminding us to stay hydrated. What is your hydration liquid of choice? For me... Iced Tea, although I do drink at least 1 bottle of water per day as well. 

Going all out with this very clean and simple card, and doing a little reminder to myself as well, and what I want everyone out there reading to do... Show yourself kindness. Don't let thoughts get in telling you aren't good enough, don't compare yourself to others. You do things others don't, just as others will do things you do not. If something isn't your style, don't force it upon yourself to then feel bad later because it didn't turn out the way someone else did. This is not only speaking in crafty goodness, but in all aspects. Whether it is cooking, cleaning, child rearing or even just being. Be yourself, and be kind to yourself.

LeeAnn Gets Crafty with her 2022 Crafty Goals!!!

 

SO, 2021 will be gone shortly, and here I sit, a friend inspired me to set up my goals for 2022...

I'm going to start making cards for the senior home and children's center again.

Another destash giveaway for my local crafters to gather/use what I do not. Gave a lot to senior home last year, and this year gave 2 families a lot of paper, stickers, ephemera, stamps and ink that I haven't used in a while.

Join more challenges.

Make more time for ME crafting. I have one virtual crop in March I am participating in, and will be looking for others as well.

Spending, well that is pretty much only with 3 stores now, I have one more on my list to focus on, I love to help small business's but have to choose wisely 

Pattern Paper... I have so much of it, 6x6 mostly, so I found a great blog/youtube and am going to be using her sketches at least one week a month.

My friend has a youtube channel and does great cards, also using pattern paper and will be following along more closely and using her ideas as well.

Last but not least... USE WHAT I HAVE, I went through my box from one brand 2 days ago and could not believe the amount of stamps/dies that I HAD TO HAVE, but have never used.

Longer than expected but I guess I have Goals 

Winter Wishes... my Challenge Entry

 Hi there friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here with a fun card I made using products from Gina K Designs for the November Monthly Mix Challenge. To make this project I used pieces of all 3 stamp sets from the November Kit called Winter Whimsy. 
From the Hygge Time set I used the adorable snow people, From the Winter Whimsy set I used the tree line, and then from Star Flower I used the sentiment "winter wishes". 

I used the Black Onyx ink to stamp out the show people, which I then colored using copic markers. I stamped the tree line using Dark Sage, and then used Broken China Distress Oxide to create the sky. 

I cut that panel out using the stitched rectangle die from ML 2. I used the larger rectangle die from ML 1 to create the layering panel, and then added that to my A2 cardbase. My paper is also from GinaKDesigns.

I did use some snowflake sprinkles from my stash to add to each snow persons hands, a little pile in front of them, and the 2 dots above the eyes in Winter Wishes. 

I really had a lot of fun making this card, and I hope it helped to bring  you some inspiration.

Happy Friendsgiving, combining old and new Trinity Stamps to make a fun card.

Hi there friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here and today I want to share a fun card I made using both old and new stamp sets from Trinity stamps. I am making this card for the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog. RRCB170

From the 2021 Harvest Rainbow Stamp Set I used the pile of leaves. From the 2020 Treetop Adventures stamp sets I used the kids. The sentiment came from the 2019 Autumn Sentiments  stamp set (retired) and the stitched die is from 4 Bar Card Builder set, all from Trinity Stamps. 

I stamped using Black Out Ink from Ink on 3 and colored using Copic Markers. I did use Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to ink blend the background with Mini Cloud Stencil from MFT.
